BOWman's Buddies

There is a father absence crisis in America.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 19.7 million children, more than 1 in 4, live without a father in the home. Consequently, there is a father factor in nearly all social ills facing America today.

Our founder, Tyler Bowman of BOWman's Archery is starting a charity program that will help children have father figures in their lives by teaching the young children how to archery hunt. BOWman's Buddies will be a great program for children who are growing up without their father figures in their life, by having one male "father figure" for every child who participates in the program. When Tyler Bowman was growing up, his father was the person who got him into hunting. Tyler really enjoyed this with his father, and he is working to give back to millions of children across the U.S. The program hopes to keep children out of crimes, away from drug and alcohol, and to stay in school. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is a great city for businesses to get their start. Our founder and CEO, Tyler Bowman grew up in a little town called Connellsville, that is about 45 minutes away from downtown Pittsburgh. This was where Tyler first found his passion for Archery hunting. Tyler later attended La Roche College in Pittsburgh, and knew that this was where he wanted to start his Archery business. Pittsburgh is not only home to Tyler, but it also is a great city, that is full of GREATNESS.

Hello Archery addicts! We know there are hundreds of myths and "how to" tips to get a trophy buck, but we are wanting to tell you what our avid hunting experts have tried and the great results they received. Instead of using deer lure (Female deer Urine) to attract a big buck, we've tested how well deer respond to apples being rubbed against trees. We found that covering lots of trees around where you are hunting not only blocks your scent, but it also is pretty enticing to deer and other animals. Don't believe us? Try it out a few times for yourself, on your next few hunts, and post your results right here!
